What's Inazuma?
Inazuma is one of the seven regions in Teyvat, the Land of Eternity. The region consists of a collection of islands. These islands each have their own unique landscapes and features.
An Isolated Archipelago Far East of Teyvat Overcome endless thunderstorms and set foot on the islands of red maple and cherry blossoms. On winding shores and towering cliffs, and in forests and mountains full of secrets, witness the Eternity pursued by Her Excellency, the Almighty Narukami Ogosho.
Inazuma is inspired by Japan. The name of the region "Inazuma" means "lightning" in Japanese. The architecture, aesthetics, and overall design of Inazuma reflect traditional Japanese elements and styles. Inazuma's portrayal as an isolated nation with strict governance and a closed-off nature also draws inspiration from Japan's historical period of sakoku during the Edo period

Lore
Ingame Inazuma story line exists as chapter II. that consists of four acts: Act I - The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia, Act II - Stillness, the Sublimation of Shadow, Act III - Omnipresence Over Mortals, Act IV - Requiem of the Echoing Depths. The chapter II. has an ingame reputation of it being really bad.
Upon entering Inazuma, you're stopped from progressing to the nation at Ritou because you don't have a special permit, Thoma, who you meet as your guide, helps you get that. Once you're through, Thoma will take you to meet Kamisato Ayaka who's deeply worried because of the Vision Hunt Decree. You'll also be introduced to Yoimiya who will help you break into a prison to save someone. Thoma is taken away by the police because the Raiden Shogun wants to take his vision herself, leading the Traveler into a fight with the Archon herself. After barely escaping alive with Thoma's help, the journey will take you to Watatsumi Island where you'll learn about the resistance and meet Kokomi and Gorou. You also meet Teppei, who tragically dies due to a delusion given to him by fatui. The Traveler and Paimon locate and then head to the delusion factory where they meet Scaramouche and are almost killed by him. Luckily, Yae Miko saves the day and brings them to her shrine. She tells you about the Raiden Shogun being a puppet of the Electro Archon, Ei, who was created to achieve Eternity. She trains you to defeat Ei in her realm and convinces the Shogun's general Sara to help. The Traveler makes their way into the Raiden Shogun's palace, where they run into La Signora and must have a battle before the throne. Signora is revealed to be the Crimson Witch of Embers but loses the battle causing the Raiden Shogun to kill her. Afterward, the Traveler leaves the palace and slowly walks towards the exit only to be attacked shortly after by the Raiden Shogun. Kazuha saves the Traveler's life by being the first mortal to use the power of two visions at the same time. Thinking about the ambitions of everyone who had their vision taken allows the Traveler to have enough power to defeat the Archon, making her realize her mistake. She brings a stop to the Vision Hunt Decree and comes to terms with the fact that she can't have her version of eternity. Once the crisis is averted in Inazuma, the Traveler speaks to Yae Miko to learn that she just handed over Ei's gnosis to Scaramouche to save them. She also reveals that Scaramouche is another one of Ei's puppets who went rogue.
The Inazuma story playthrough takes around 22 hours.
Archon war
Little information exists about the Archon War in Inazuma. The Inazuman archipelago was united under the rule of the Electro Archon, the Raiden Shogun — which was Makoto (Baal), with her twin sister Ei (Beelzebul) serving as her kagemusha. the Raiden Shogun's story is a tragedy, as explained in the end of Inazuma's arc. The original Electro Archon was not Beelzebul, but rather her twin, Baal. However, in the catastrophic events that occurred 500 years before Genshin Impact's start, Baal fell in battle. It is only because of this loss that Beelzebul has taken her sister's place as the Raiden Shogun.
Scaramouche
First betrayal
Scaramouche was originally created as a prototype puppet by the Electro Archon, Raiden Ei. As Ei's puppet, he was supposed to be a vessel for her gnosis but he ''shed tears in his dreams''. Ei considered him ''too fragile, whether it be as a human or a tool.'' She wouldn't destroy him, instead she sealed his power and ''allowed him to take control of his own life. Ei placed him into stasis in a hidden mansion on Inazuma's Yashiori Island called Shakkei Pavilion. This is the first betrayal.
Second betrayal
Eventually, he was discovered and freed by a kindly human man named Katsuragi Niwa, who was part of a group of bladesmiths that worked in Tatarasuna under the Inspector, Mikoshi Nagamasa. The puppet stayed in Tatarasuna at this time with the group and was known as the wandering eccentric, as he had no known name. At some point. Katsuragi finds out the puppet’s gold ornament as proof of identity, ¨ that the puppet was affiliated with the Raiden Shogun. So to keep Scara safe, Katsuragi took him away from Tatarasuna to Shakkei Pavilion, giving him a warning to not reveal his identity to others, and then leaving him in the domain so that he could never be found by Nagamasa and the others. For his best friend to leave him with a warning to not reveal his identity to others would weigh heavily on his heart. This is the first betrayal. He learns that by his very nature, he is different from humans. Even ones who he trusted wholeheartedly, who he loved and cared for, would see him as nothing more than a monster if they knew the truth. He can never be fully human himself.
Third betrayal
Scaramouche wanders to Seirai island and ends up in Koseki Village. He comes across a youth of a Tatarasuna craftsperson, befriending him. A crisis occurs during his time in Koseki Village. The people there would likely recognize the symbol of the Shogunate. Therefore, they saw Scara as their savior and pleaded with him to stop the thunderstorms over Seirai Island. Scara therefore plans to leave for Inazuma City to get help (because his powers are sealed) for the people. Scara eventually returns to the island to find the village abandoned, promising the youth his help. The boy who promised to wait for his return is dead, his promise therefore broken. Help either never came in time or was too late. This is the third betrayal. He burns the house down and leaves. Scaramouche realizes that humans are fragile by nature. He is not human, but rather an anomaly. He cannot trust them, whether emotionally or physically, to keep their promises.
He could not fulfill his purpose, so he was abandoned.
He is not human, so his family feared him.
He made a promise, yet human mortality failed him.
The Fatui
After this, he joins the Fatui for his amusement. Eventually, Dottore (The Doctor) takes him to Snezhnaya. Dottore, using the puppet as a foundational blueprint, would perform research and experiments for several decades before finally attaining the techniques that would go on to form the basis for his Segments. The Doctor would unlock the seal on his body, causing his abilities to greatly increase. The puppet becomes the 6th of the Fatui Harbingers: Scaramouche, the Balladeer. Later, Scaramouche returns to Inazuma for helping Signora manufacture delusions during the Inazuma Civil War. But since then, we know Scaramouche has obtained the Electro Gnosis from Miko, lost contact with the Fatui and then left Inazuma by boat. Now in Sumeru, he is working with the Doctor to become a god so he can be free from the pain in his heart and past forever. But by doing so, he will instead become a complete monster, one that the Traveler has to stop at any cost. That's then, the story of sumeru.

Enkanomiya
Enkanomiya, "Palace Below the Depths", originally known as Byakuyakoku, "Land of the White Night / Midnight Sun", and Tokoyokoku, "Eternal Country", is an area located in Inazuma. A midnight sun or white night refers to a natural phenomenon in which the sun remains visible during nighttime. It can be entered via a deep pool east of Sangonomiya Shrine, and legend has it that the Watatsumi people originated from here.
the Primordial One
Supposedly over 6.000 years prior to Morax’s birth, so before any known event in game such as the cataclysm or the archon war, there was an era when Dragons and Vishaps ruled the world. The Primordial One challenged the Seven Sovereigns by creating four shades. After defeating them, the Primordial One (Phanes) created earth and heaven and, in the end, humanity. In this time, humans were living in harmony in the whole world as a single civilization, Enkanomiya being a part of it. Among humans there were the Seelie, which were humanoid figures bestowed with great knowledge. If you looked up in the sky at that time, you could notice three moons, it is said their home was the Lunar Palace, where they had to switch place three times a month, otherwise a disaster would have occurred.
The Second Who Came
An entity called the Second Who Came appeared, resulting in a war between it and the Primordial One which led to the destruction of Heaven and Earth. As a result of the war, Enkanomiya fell into the depths of the ocean the Seelie civilitazion ended and the three moons killed each other, leaving only one to roam in the starry sky. The people of Enkanomiya find themselves fighting with the vishaps and dragons who had previously fled to the ocean after the Primordial One defeated them. Among the 4 shades of the Primordial One, only Istaroth helps them, granting the craftsman Abrax (Aberaku) the wisdom to build the Dainichi Mikoshi, to drive away the vishaps.
The Sunchildren
But peace was nowhere to be seen, a conspiracy of corrupted nobles seeking for power manipulated the people of Enkanomiya to worship the Dainichi Mikoshi as a God. To retain the power, they used to designate an infant to be the Sunchild and rule the land, however, the Sunchildren were nothing but puppets of the noble men, doing what they ordered them. Abrax was imprisoned for opposing that. To avoid the Sunchildren to gain knowledge and consciousness of what was happening to them as they grew up, the nobles sacrificed them to the Dainichi Mikoshi before they could grow.
Orobashi’s realm
One day, a child from Enkanomiya found Orobashi, a serpent-like God, confined in a cave. The child asked him to be their god and Orobashi agreed, putting an end to the Sunchildren and becoming known as the “Watatsumi Omikami”. Orobashi drastically changed Enkanomiya’s society, preparing them to return to the surface world by gifting them with elements of the Narukami culture, an example being teaching them the language of Inazuma.
Watatsumi Island
One day, Orobashi found a book called “Before Sun and Moon” which recalled the events before the Enkanomiya fall into the depths and so anything related to the Primordial One and the Second Who Came. Celestia didn’t want that information to be spreaded among the Enkanomiya civilians, and ordered Orobashi either to die himself or to witness the departure of his people. Orobashi, loving his people, decided to sacrifice himself. In order to disguise the real reason for his death to the eyes of his people, he issued a military campaign against the Electro Archon of Inazuma. Orobashi lifted up Enkanomiya’s civilians up into surface and created land around Enkanomiya’s entrance, the new land becoming “Watatsumi Island”. After successfully setting up in Watatsumi Island, Orobashi attacked the Electro Archon Ei to complete his suicide plan, resulting in his death from the Musou No Hitotachi. As a consequence, the people of Watatsumi Island would nurture anger against the Shogunate accusing it to be the cause of their God’s death, not knowing the real truth, which was preserved among the few record keepers Orobashi had shared part of his knowledge with.
